New requirements for FTP access to Windows sites

FTP is the most common method for uploading files to your website.  As of February 2013 additional security measures have been put in place when using this file transfer process to connect with sites hosted on our shared Windows servers.  At this time, this change does not affect sites hosted on Linux servers.

Please let your webmaster know that instead of using port 21, from now on it is mandatory to specify FTPS/IMPLICIT SSL along with port 990 and to use the host name edge25.earthplaza.com to ensure a secure connection.

NOTE: IF YOU RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE WARNING, ACCEPT IT AND APPROVE AS NEEDED.

If you are using Dreamweaver for FTP uploads you must be using version CS5.5 or newer.  Unfortunately older versions of Dreamweaver have limited FTP functionality.

Filezilla is a free FTP program which you can download here.  Once installed, these are the settings to use for Filezilla.
